Missions

Commissioning and optimisation of the ThomX accelerator complex

Activities

- equipment validation and high level control command dvelopment
- Data taking and analysis, accelerator tuning
- Studies on improvement of the longitudinal coherence of the electron bunch from the linac and transfer line
- Result discussion and presentation. Article submission

Skills

- Accelerator physics especially photoinjectors
- Programming language (taurus, python, Matlab), remote control of equipment via high leven interface development
- Optimisation algorithme

Work Context

The research activity of the LAL is centered on particles physics, supplemented by a strong component in cosmology and astrophysics. 300 persons are working in the laboratory on the Orsay campus (91).


The postdoctoral researcher will be affected at the accelerator department within the ThomX project in relation with the control command and beam dynamics groups. The postdoctoral researcher will be integrated in the commissioning group of ThomX.
