Does the CNRS recruitment portal use cookies?

Yes, the applicant section of the CNRS recruitment portal uses cookies to store certain information about your visit in your browser.
We use cookies to ensure that all our users enjoy the best possible experience. Cookies also help to protect the security of applicant accounts for any visitors who have opted to create an account.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that located in your (or on your mobile device), which serve to activate various functionalities and store information. For example, thanks to cookies, we can save your preferences, remember where you are located and, in general, ensure your access to the portal is secure. Whenever possible, the data contained in the cookies generated by the portal for the purpose of its operation are encrypted. If intercepted or stolen, their data cannot be retrieved.

What kinds of cookies does the recruitment portal use?

We use three types of cookies: persistent cookies, session cookies and audience cookies.
Persistent cookies let us identify you as an existing user, so you can easily get back to the applicant section of the portal, without having to re-enter your login information. Once connected, persistent cookies stay in your browser and are read whenever you return to the website. These persistent cookies are stored for 15 days. Session cookies only exist for the duration of the session (usually either for the time when you are on the website or while your browser is open).

Audience cookies: How do we measure the website’s audience?

Audience measurement tools are in place to obtain information about our visitors’ browsing habits. In particular, they help us understand how users get to our website and retrace their paths. These tools use technologies that can trace users on our website and associate a “referring site” or a campaign with a unique identifier. These audience measurement cookies are stored for a maximum of 13 months. The data they contain is anonymized.
For our cookies, we use an internal audience measurement tool and do not go through any third-party suppliers. We have followed the guidelines from the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) and configured the tool so that its use does not require your consent.
