Personal data protection on the CNRS recruitment portal
Personal
data are collected and processed under the responsibility of the Human
Resources Director. The Data Protection Officer may also have access to and
process those data during the fulfilment of the DPO’s duties.
Personal data is collected through the CNRS recruitment portal in order to hire candidates applying for job positions offered by the CNRS.
The legal basis for processing this data is compliance with recruitment regulations, particularly the Research Code.
The collected data are an applicant’s marital status, work history and sign-in
log.
The data are not transferred outside the European Union.
The recipients of the collected personal data are the CNRS regional office’s
human resources services and the people directly concerned by the recruitment
action.
Pursuant to Articles 12 to 23 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation
no. 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 and the French Data Protection Act
no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, as amended, you have the right to
access, rectify or erase your data or restrict their processing.

• Personal data storage period
The CNRS will store applicants’ personal data will for a maximum of two years.
Beyond that time, they will be archived in accordance with the French Heritage
Code.
