Missions
The person recruited will have the status of a post-doctoral researcher in the interdisciplinary DHAPHID project (Deciphering and Healing Addiction : the Role of Philosophy in the Interdisciplinary Dialogue). Within the project, she/he will be required to conduct innovative and informed research related to the concept of addiction, its status and the relationships between the various disciplines that constitute sources of knowledge on addiction. Reflection on the variety of the relationships to oneself in addiction, as well as on the role of environmental factors in both entering and exiting addiction, is welcome. The research project of the person recruited could also focus on the specific contribution of a philosophical approach to the understanding and treatment of addiction, or on debates on the use of the concepts of pathology and choice in the context of addiction.
Activités
-Writing articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters (main task).
-Participation in the project's collective activities and meetings.
-Exchanges with researchers involved in the project, including partners outside the IHPST (University of Bordeaux, CNAM, University of Clermont-Auvergne).
-Co-organisation of the closing conference.
Compétences
--Training in philosophy of science, philosophy of medicine or philosophy of mind (PhD level).
- Excellent knowledge of the literature on addiction (philosophical, but also scientific, in at least one field of research).
Contexte de travail
The person recruited will work as part of the DHAPHID Project and within the IHPST laboratory's 'Biology, Medicine, Ecology' Axis. He/she will be hosted by the IHPST laboratory (13, rue du Four, 75006 Paris) for the duration of the project. He/she will be placed under the responsibility of the project leader, and will report to him regularly on his/ her research.
