Job Description
Missions
The main duty of the position holder is to conduct research. They are also expected to take part in the life of the laboratory and the broader scientific community, and to attend conferences.
Activity
- Theoretical and numerical research using computer simulations.
- Communication of research results through seminars and conferences in France and abroad.
- Preparation for the continuation of a research career, for example through preparation for competitive recruitment examinations.
Your Profil
Skills
- Knowledge / expertise: Theoretical statistical physics; fundamentals of machine learning.
- Skills: Collaborative research; communication of results; programming in Python.
- Interpersonal skills: Ability to work as part of a team.
Your Work Environment
The position is a postdoctoral research appointment within Team 07 “Disordered Systems” at LPENS and the ENS Data Science Center. The researcher will work in particular within Marylou Gabrié's group, at the interface of sampling, statistical physics, and machine learning.
