Description du sujet de thèse
The aim of this project is to optimise the performances (activity, selectivity, recyclibility, metal leaching and stability) of catalytic nanoreactors made of metal nanoparticles (MNPs) anchored to the core of polymeric core-crosslinked micelles (CCMs), for application to biphasic hydrogenation catalysis.
The project of this thesis consist in :
- synthesizing by RAFT polymerization in aqueous solutions new CCMs bearing stabilizing ligands as triphenylphosphine oxide and a base or promoter (pyridines, amines, etc). Synthesis of some polymerizable ligands and bases will be indeed necessary
- introducing MNPs by migration following ex‐situ synthesis, or by a one‐pot (in situ) synthesis method providing catalytic nanoreactors containing metal NPs.
- assessing nanoreactors (bearing Rh-NPs first) efficiency in styrene and acetophenone hydrogenation as model reaction in order to optimise the nature of the promoter, the stabiliser/promoter ratio and the RhNP loading on catalytic activities and selectivities and on confinement.
This offer is part of the ANR MNPatCCM project. All this work will be carried out in close and constant collaboration with the other two partner teams in the consortium.
Contexte de travail
The PhD student will be supervised by Dr. Eric Manoury and Prof. Rinaldo Poli. All the equipment required for the project is available at the Laboratory.
