Job Description
Missions
Identification and characterization of Arabidopsis modulators of RNA silencing.
Activity
The project aims to identify and characterize mutants that modulate RNA silencing in Arabidopsis. More specifically, the candidate will work on the phenotypical and molecular characterization of mutants that enhance disease resistance through modulation of post-transcriptional and/or transcriptional gene silencing pathways. In addition, she/he will use genetic, molecular biology and cell biology approaches to determine the details mechanisms by which one of these factors modulate RNA silencing in Arabidopsis.
Your Profil
Skills
Expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry, genomics and cell biology techniques (cloning, RT-qPCR, Western blot, co-immunoprecipitation, proximity labeling (by Turbo-ID), deep sequencing of small RNAs and mRNAs and after protein immunoprecipitation, low molecular weight northern blot analyses, allelism tests).
Your Work Environment
The candidate will work in an international research team investigating the molecular mechanisms of host-pathogen interactions and the genetic and epigenetic regulation of plant gene expression (using the following model systems: microalgae, plants and human cells). The candidate will have access to all IBENS platforms (imaging, genomics, plantalgae, etc.) and will benefit from a bench and office space within the team.
