Missions
Develop theoretical tools based on asymptotic analysis to model non-linear wave propagation and extend this type of study in the context of metamaterials.
Activités
- The post-doc will develop a multi-scale analysis in the case of a step (2 different water heights) to obtain a Boussinesq type equation enriched by jump conditions.
- He will work on the extension of these approaches in the case of resonators composed of cavities with communication holes with the water column.
- The candidate will look for optimised configurations for wave control in the "portiary" context, i.e. when the wave occupies a bounded space.
Compétences
- Good knowledge of the context of waves at the water surface, especially in the non-linear regime.
- Knowledge of multi-scale asymptotic methods and homogenisation.
- Autonomy, ability to synthesise, creativity.
