Job Description

Missions

Within the **prairie-psai** cluster ([www.prairie-psai.fr](https://www.prairie-psai.fr/)), **CEREMADE** is seeking to recruit a **post-doctoral researcher** for a **one-year position** to work on any project in **analysis, calculus of variations, or optimization**, connected to **artificial intelligence** and the research of **Antonin Chambolle** and his collaborators at CEREMADE.

Activity

The position is a research position. The candidate will interact mainly with Antonin Chambolle www.ceremade.dauphine.fr/~chambolle , and/or his students and collaborators.

Your Profil

Skills

The candidate must have some experience and a strong knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) applications of the following fields: nonlinear analysis (gradient flows of probability distributions, optimal transport, set evolution and shape optimization, calculus of variations), and/or convex/non-convex optimization methods (first-order algorithms, nonlinear/non-Euclidean gradient descents, acceleration, algorithms for optimal transport or generative AI). A good knowledge of Python programming (for AI, optimization) is highly desirable.

Your Work Environment

CEREMADE is a joint CNRS research unit located at Paris-Dauphine University, Place de Lattre de Tassigny, Paris 16th. Its 150 researchers (including 75 permanent members from Paris-Dauphine, CNRS, or INRIA) work on a wide range of topics, including nonlinear analysis, probability, optimization, finance, etc.
