Work Context

The recruited person will work at LAPSCO (see below) under the direction of the laboratory director and will benefit from the assistance of at least two other members of this same research unit.
The "Laboratory of Social and Cognitive Psychology" (LAPSCO–UMR UCA-CNRS 6024; see https://www.lapsco.fr) currently has 41 permanent staff members and a total of 84 non-permanent staff members (doctoral students, post-doctoral students and other contract workers). Its purpose is the study of the cognitive processes underlying major mental functions (perception, attention, memory, language, temporality), from their cerebral bases to their regulations under the influence of the social environment, with major issues in the fields of education and health in particular. At the interface of experimental psychology (social, cognitive and developmental) and integrative neuroscience, the LAPSCO is a very productive research unit organized into 3 scientific teams: 1- “Cognition-Behaviour-Context”; 2- "Social Behaviors and Collective Dynamics", and 3- "Physiological and Psychosocial Stress", all at the service of a highly integrated vision of cognitive processes and human behavior. Rated A+ by HCERES and section 26 (brain-cognition-behaviour) of the national committee for scientific research, this unit benefits from the support of two CNRS institutes (National Institute of Biological Sciences and Institute of Human and Social Sciences). Partner of two LABEX, partner and/or leaders of several projects funded by the ANR or Europe, the LAPSCO is also very active in terms of partnerships with stakeholders in education, health, national security, and the economic world (e.g., emerging joint laboratory with Michelin, “e.P3C” project, winner of APP EFRAN 2016 with two companies and the support of the Clermont-Fd Rectorate).
