The CLLE laboratory is a laboratory for scientific psychology and language sciences comprising approximately 100 tenured researchers and faculty members, as well as an equal number of doctoral students and postdocs. It is characterized by a strong focus on applied research.

The CLLE Laboratory (Cognition, Languages, Language, Ergonomics) is a CNRS UMR established in January 2007 and primarily based at the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès. It is a multidisciplinary research unit within the field of Cognitive Sciences: the work conducted there covers the fields—to a greater or lesser extent—of linguistics, psychology, computer science, philosophy, education, and neuroscience. The laboratory, comprising 205 members, is organized into three teams, each consisting on average of 25 faculty members and researchers:
• The “Languages and Language” team, focusing specifically on topics related to linguistics;
• The “Language and Cognitive Processes” team, focused on the interdisciplinary relationship between language and psychology;
• The “Cognition in Complex Situations” team, working specifically on topics in social and cognitive psychology.
The laboratory also develops cross-disciplinary research initiatives among these teams.
It also hosts numerous doctoral and postdoctoral researchers.
The CLLE is a CNRS joint research unit (UMR) that operates the CCU experimental platform.
