Missions

Mission
The research work in cognitive psychology, ergonomics, and/or cognitive sciences is part of the Mixson project, which aims to:

• Identify determinants of acceptability to adapt tool functionalities to user needs and expectations.
• Study classic predictors (ease of use, utility, attitude, subjective norms) as well as factors specific to high-level tennis (motivations, construction of a common reference framework, alignment with existing training practices).
• Utilize both qualitative (interviews, observations) and quantitative methods.
• Propose recommendations to guide the design and improvement of sonification tools.

Activity

• Conduct interviews and questionnaires assessing instrumental components (utility/usability) and non-instrumental components (values, motivations) of tool acceptance.
• Analyze training practices with and without the tool to measure user experience and appropriation.
• Develop acceptability and appropriation questionnaires.
• Test a model of acceptability factors for the sonification tool.
• Formulate design improvement recommendations.
