Job Description
Missions
As part of the ScalingRules project (ANR Chair of Excellence France 2030), Dr. Basto's laboratory is recruiting a full-time postdoctoral researcher in AI applied to biology to contribute to the lab's research. It aims to understand how polyploid cells regulate their optimal size while ensuring their function. This is part of the laboratory's overall project to study ploidy, cell cycle transitions and maintenance of genetic stability. This position is ideal for a young PhD in applied computer science with a thesis and significant experience in an academic environment. The main area of expertise must be artificial intelligence (AI), deep learning, computer vision, scientific and medical image analysis and AI applied to biology and living organisms in quantitative image analysis. As well as an experience using Python, both with classical image processing techniques (thresholding, filters, etc.) and deep learning frameworks.

Constraints and risks
This work may involve travel on assignment as part of an hourly period defined by the employment contract (100% shift) and may require authorization for working hours with permission outside working hours.
