Description du sujet de thèse
As part of the ARSENE project of PEPR CYBERSECURITE, the SESAM team is proposing a PhD thesis in which we will reverse the historical trend of designing SoCs and then securing them, by considering security as a very strong constraint right from the design phase, so as to propose a trusted heterogeneous SoC architecture, secured by design. The target architecture will be multi-processor (RISC-V base) and will embed hardware gas pedals, which may or may not be reconfigurable, cryptographic and agile. We will consider the possibility of offering a trusted processing environment in which sensitive hardware processing is physically and/or cryptographically isolated. In addition, the architecture will be able to collect and analyze the behavior of all its components via a security supervisor capable of detecting an intrusion or anomaly. For the latter, it may be appropriate to use machine learning algorithms for supervision.
Contexte de travail
The Systèmes Embarqués Sécurisés et Architectures Matérielles (SESAM) team of the Laboratoire Hubert Curien (UMR CNRS 5516 - Université Jean Monnet) is one of the leading teams in hardware systems security at national and international level. Its main scientific activities focus on three main areas, combining skills in microelectronics and electronics, embedded systems, applied mathematics and cryptography.
Le poste se situe dans un secteur relevant de la protection du potentiel scientifique et technique (PPST), et nécessite donc, conformément à la réglementation, que votre arrivée soit autorisée par l'autorité compétente du MESR.
Informations complémentaires
Candidates should have a degree in electronics engineering with a specialization in embedded systems, and initial experience in hardware and/or software security. The candidate must be able to communicate in English (oral and written).
