Description du sujet de thèse
This thesis is part of the PhosCat project funded by the French National Research Agency. It will be conducted within the C'Durable team at IRCELYON.
The overall topic is the preparation and evaluation of rare earth phosphates as heterogeneous acid-base or bifunctional catalysts for biomass valorisation.
Catalyst synthesis will involve inorganic chemistry methods (precipitation, sol-gel, metal impregnation), and characterization will include X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, and textural analysis, among others. The catalytic application will aim to produce high value-added products, for example, through the transformation of sugars or wood cellulose. The catalytic reactions will be carried out primarily in liquid/gas media in pressurized autoclaves.
- You have a Master's degree or an engineering degree
- You have knowledge of catalysis, preferably heterogeneous one
- You are organized and possess an analytical critical mind on the results you will obtain
- You are able to communicate both written and oral with English-speaking colleagues

Contexte de travail
IRCELYON is a joint research unit between the CNRS and the University of Lyon, bringing together the heterogeneous catalysis expertise of the Lyon region to create the largest catalysis laboratory in France. The laboratory comprises 80 permanent researchers from the CNRS and the University of Lyon, as well as a similar number of doctoral and postdoctoral students.
The scope of the position includes:
• A stimulating working environment with close contact with research staff
• An on-site restaurant offering affordable lunches
• Partial reimbursement of transport tickets (75%) or sustainable mobility allowance
• A site accessible by public transport and with secure car/bicycle parking
The position is located in an area covered by the Protection of Scientific and Technical Potential (PPST) scheme, and therefore, in accordance with regulations, your arrival requires authorization from the relevant authority.
Le poste se situe dans un secteur relevant de la protection du potentiel scientifique et technique (PPST), et nécessite donc, conformément à la réglementation, que votre arrivée soit autorisée par l'autorité compétente du MESR.
Contraintes et risques
