The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to the development of a research project in the field of molecular chemistry and hybrid functional materials. He/She will be involved in the design, experimental work and characterization of new molecular systems exhibiting tunable properties. The researcher will participate in data analysis, interpretation and dissemination of the results through reports, presentations, and scientific publications.

Activities

Synthesis and purification of organic ligands and/or coordination complexes.
Preparation and optimization of new molecular or hybrid materials.
Structural and physico-chemical characterization (e.g., NMR, UV-Vis, IR, Raman, diffraction, electrochemistry, magnetic measurements), depending on the candidate's profile.
Analysis, processing, and interpretation of experimental data.
Writing scientific reports and contributing to manuscripts for publication.
Presentation of results in group meetings and, when appropriate, at conferences.
Collaboration with other team members and project partners.

Skills

PhD in chemistry (organic, inorganic, materials or physical chemistry).
Strong experience in molecular synthesis and/or coordination chemistry.
Familiarity with at least one structural or spectroscopic characterization technique.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Scientific rigor, organizational skills, and ability to report progress effectively.
Good written and oral communication skills in English (or French) and capacity to contribute to scientific dissemination.

Work Context

The postdoctoral researcher will join a dynamic research group within a CNRS laboratory recognized for its expertise in molecular chemistry and functional materials. The work will be conducted in close interaction with permanent researchers, engineers, PhD students and external collaborators. The project benefits from access to state-of-the-art instrumentation and a stimulating collaborative scientific environment.

Constraints and risks

The experimental work will be carried out in a chemistry laboratory environment. The associated risks correspond to standard synthesis activities (handling solvents, reagents, inert atmosphere setup, glassware, etc.). Strict adherence to laboratory safety rules, internal procedures and mandatory safety training will be required.
Le respect strict des règles de sécurité, des formations obligatoires et des procédures internes du laboratoire sera requis.
