Job Description

Missions

The aim is to conduct photon correlation experiments using novel single-photon sources developed by our colleagues at CEA Grenoble. The optomechanical properties of these devices will also be studied.

The researcher will conduct experiments on photon correlations (Hanbury-Brown, Twiss, and Hong-Ou-Mandel) using photonic nanostructures containing individual quantum dots. The mechanical vibration modes of these structures are coupled via strain to the quantum dot's emission energy. The goal will be to study how optical control of the quantum dot allows for control of the motion of this mechanical oscillator, if possible down to the single-phonon level.

Activity

- Conduct microphotoluminescence experiments in a cryogenic environment (T=4K).
- Conduct photon correlation experiments
- Conduct optomechanical experiments
- Process and analyze the data obtained
- Supervise a doctoral student

Your Profil

Skills

- Experience in optical spectroscopy is required
- Experience in photon counting is desirable
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor optics

Your Work Environment

The postdoc researcher will be integrated in the "Nanophysics and Semiconductors (NPSC)" team of the "Physics - Light - Material" (PLUM) department.
