Missions
The post-doc researcher will be in charge of: designing (Grenoble and Roma), fabricating (Grenoble) and testing (in Grenoble and Roma) arrays of superconducting resonators for the dark matter experiment DANAE.
Activités
The postdoctoral researcher will design and optimize superconducting detectors tailored for dark matter detection. The activity will be to develop and fabricate resonator arrays using advanced nanofabrication techniques in cleanroom environments. Characterization and testing of the devices will be performed at cryogenic temperatures to ensure sensitivity and performance. The postdoc will collaborate closely with international teams, contributing to experimental setups in Grenoble and Rome. He will also analyze data, refine detector designs, and publish results to advance the field of rare-event searches.
Compétences
PhD in Physics and micro-fabrication experience at PTA-Grenoble
Contexte de travail
The Institut NÉEL is a CNRS unit (UPR 2940) under agreement with the University Grenoble Alpes. The laboratory is related to the CNRS Physique. It is located in Grenoble, in the heart of a unique scientific, industrial and cultural environment. It is one of the largest French national research institutes for fundamental research in condensed matter physics enriched by interdisciplinary activities at the interfaces with chemistry, engineering and biology. It consists of 450 employees, including 175 researchers.
The post-doc will join the HELFA (Helium: from fundamental to applications) team of the Condensed Matter – Low Temperatures (MCBT) department.
This project is planned in international collaboration with the University Roma La Sapienza in the framework of the ERC DANAE, thus working trips to Rome will be organized.
Le poste se situe dans un secteur relevant de la protection du potentiel scientifique et technique (PPST), et nécessite donc, conformément à la réglementation, que votre arrivée soit autorisée par l'autorité compétente du MESR.
