Job Description

Missions

The team seeks to better understand the signaling mechanisms that regulate energy homeostasis in cells of the central nervous system. Neurons and glial cells display distinct metabolic signatures, which requires intercellular exchange of metabolites that serve both as energy precursors and signaling molecules. The team has shown that disruption of this metabolic dialogue contributes to the onset of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease (Le Douce et al., Cell Metabolism, 2020). The aim of the project is to investigate the contribution of astrocytes to vascular and metabolic responses during sensory activation in transgenic mouse models of Alzheimer's disease, using in vivo two-photon imaging and genetically encoded biosensors.

Activity

Conducting in vivo two-photon imaging studies in rodents
Using viral vectors in vivo (stereotaxy)
Data analysis
Presentation of data and publication of results

Your Profil

Skills

PhD in Neuroscience
Experience in in vivo imaging or data analysis strongly recommended
