Job Description
Missions
The integration of emerging nanodevices with CMOS circuits opens up important opportunities for the development of low-power embedded artificial intelligence systems. These hybrid approaches make it possible to explore new computing architectures close to memory, in particular for on-chip learning, local adaptation, and the processing of sensor data.
The proposed project focuses on the design, modeling, and experimental characterization of hybrid circuits combining CMOS electronics with non-volatile or reconfigurable nanodevices . The general objective is to study how these technologies can be exploited to implement hardware primitives useful for embedded learning, while taking into account constraints related to variability, noise, energy consumption, and circuit integration.
Activity
The researcher will develop an approach combining circuit design, simulation, modeling, and experimental testing. Particular attention will be paid to the link between the physical properties of the nanodevices and their impact at the architectural level. The work may rely on standard microelectronics design tools, as well as the INTEGNANO team's test stations.
Your Profil
Skills
The position is intended for candidates holding a PhD in microelectronics, integrated circuit design, nanoelectronics, mixed-signal electronics, or a related field.
Your Work Environment
The project will be carried out within the INTEGNANO team at the Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, which focuses on an integrative and multidisciplinary approach to the development of novel charge- and spin-based devices. We combine expertise in nanomagnetism and electronics, materials science, circuit design, and innovative computing architectures. Our research interests range from the study of fundamental phenomena to the design of new devices with potential technological applications in information processing and storage.
