On the other hand, they ensure that the objectives of the LAAC team are achieved through the planning and execution of projects. This includes intra- and inter-team relations, problem-solving, the organization of events both small and large, a high level of personal organization (especially in terms of communication and coordination tools), and above all, a sensitivity to time management and task prioritization. In particular, the project manager supports the team by ensuring that data processing is always compliant with relevant regulations and ethical frameworks. This includes coordination with data corpus curators and interaction with existing scientific archives.

● Assist the laboratory administrator by ensuring that team members meet their financial and administrative obligations (including travel-related procedures).
● Contribute to the management of the previous and upcoming ERC budgets, as well as various budget lines.
● Oversee budget management of projects using institutional administrative tools.

● Support both the laboratory administrator and the team leader in recruiting and onboarding team members, including interns, through a complete recruitment process.
● Manage team communication through the team's email address and handle interactions with external contacts.
● Monitor the progress of the ExELang project in accordance with the established timeline and milestones.
● Commit to guiding the team in meeting deadlines (in particular by organizing and participating in both virtual and in-person meetings, taking notes, and proposing concrete, prioritized action plans).
● Track the financial aspects of various projects, especially by providing general forecasts to ensure efficient and up-to-date financial management.
● Document all shared data within the team, including agreements made with collaborators.
● Collaborate with other team members to produce internal and external reports.
● Manage a committee dedicated to updating the laboratory's publications webpage.
Contribute to team cohesion and relationships with other stakeholders by organizing joint activities (e.g., team lunches).

Contexte de travail

The selected candidate will join an interdisciplinary research laboratory composed of several research teams that bring together principal investigators, postdoctoral researchers, and PhD students working collaboratively across multiple projects. These teams engage with scientific literature and experimental methodologies across various domains.
The LAAC team (Language Acquisition Across Cultures, see website: https://lscp.dec.ens.fr/en/research/teams/language-acquisition-across-cultures) aims to uncover the mechanisms and processes involved in early language acquisition across diverse cultures and linguistic communities. We use an interdisciplinary approach—ranging from computational modeling and laboratory-based experiments to advanced data analysis—within a framework of open, collaborative, and publicly engaged science. Our team values a supportive culture that embraces individual and cultural diversity.
The successful candidate will benefit from a collegial and positive work environment, joining a small team (fewer than 15 members) well-integrated within a larger interdisciplinary laboratory of around 70 people. The Laboratory for Cognitive and Psycholinguistic Sciences (LSCP, website: https://lscp.dec.ens.fr/) is a joint research unit of the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), the École Normale Supérieure (ENS), and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS).
