Job Description
Missions
Develop and implement experimental systems for the optical and vibrational characterization of microfabricated optomechanical devices used as gravity sensors. The postdoctoral researcher will also contribute to the scientific supervision of a PhD student working on these topics.
Activity
Design, dimension, and build a vacuum chamber dedicated to the optical characterization of optomechanical systems. Integrate and operate a laser vibrometer to measure and analyze the devices' vibrational modes. Carry out the cleanroom microfabrication of optomechanical systems intended for gravity sensing. Define and conduct experimental protocols for characterizing the fabricated devices. Analyze, interpret, and document experimental results. Contribute to the scientific and technical co-supervision of a PhD student, particularly regarding microfabrication and optomechanical characterization.
Your Profil
Skills
Standard cleanroom microfabrication techniques, including photolithography, dry and wet etching, and device characterization. Mechanical design and vacuum technology.
Electronics and instrumentation. Experience with laser systems and optical setups.
Your Work Environment
This work will be carried out within the framework of the ANR Gravitation project, which aims to develop a new research field—low-frequency optomechanics—with applications in force sensing.
