Your Work Environment
REFIMEVE is a national research infrastructure dedicated to the dissemination of frequency and time references over telecommunication networks. It operates a distributed set of scientific instruments and IT systems deployed across different laboratories and partner sites.
The operation of this infrastructure relies on distributed IT systems: servers, Linux systems, network equipment, monitoring and supervision systems, scientific instruments, acquisition systems and web services must operate reliably and securely.
The Engineer will join the REFIMEVE technical team and will work closely with the Research Engineer responsible for information systems, the BAP C Engineer responsible for instrumentation, researchers within the infrastructure and the IT teams of the LTE laboratory at the Observatoire de Paris.
A significant part of the position will initially involve taking over and stabilizing existing systems. The role will subsequently evolve towards the design and deployment of new infrastructures and services, with an increasing focus on automation, monitoring and system integration.
The Engineer will also act as a technical interface with REFIMEVE's industrial partners, particularly regarding the hosting and operation of monitoring and supervision systems and the integration of software developed by these partners.
As a service-oriented research infrastructure, REFIMEVE relies on the contribution of the entire team to scientific production, technical documentation and publications associated with the infrastructure's activities.
The successful candidate will report hierarchically to Mr. Pottie and will join the FOP team within the LTE laboratory at the Observatoire de Paris.
