Missions
The candidate will take part in the implementation of neuroimaging (MRI) research studies focusing on development and learning. 
He/she will be responsible for recruiting, welcoming, and testing participants, as well as managing, organizing, and preprocessing behavioral and imaging data. 
The candidate will work in close collaboration with researchers, medical investigators, and engineers from the MRI platform of GHU Paris.
Activités
Recruit participants for MRI studies:
- Contact volunteers by email and phone.
- Verify inclusion and exclusion criteria.
- Schedule MRI acquisition sessions in coordination with the imaging department of GHU Paris.
Liaise with medical investigators to confirm participant inclusion.
Welcome participants to the Clinical Research Center (GHU Paris):
- Present the study protocol, objectives, and practical aspects of the MRI session.
- Accompany participants throughout the experimental session.
For children: supervise MRI training sessions using the simulator (“mock scan”).
Administer computerized cognitive tasks and ensure the quality of the data collected.
Organize, check, and anonymize imaging and cognitive data in the centralized database (BIDS format).
Use standardized analysis pipelines for the preprocessing of MRI and cognitive data (automated scripts).
Compétences
Basic knowledge of cognitive neuroscience and experimental psychology research principles.
Experience in collecting behavioral data.
Proficiency with office software and data management environments (e.g., Excel, REDCap).
Knowledge of R.
Ability to interact with participants — including children and their parents — in an ethical and caring manner.
Strong organizational skills for managing schedules and data.
Autonomy, sense of responsibility, and attention to traceability in all procedures.
Motivation to work within an interdisciplinary team (researchers, clinicians, engineers).
Good oral and written communication skills in French (English proficiency desirable).
Contexte de travail
The engineer will work within LaPsyDÉ (CNRS UMR 8240), a joint research unit of CNRS and Université Paris Cité, specialized in the study of cognitive and brain development.
The position is based across two main sites:
- LaPsyDÉ offices at the Sorbonne (Paris 5ᵉ), for data processing and coordination activities.
- The MRI platform at GHU Paris – Sainte-Anne Hospital, for participant reception and testing.
The work environment is highly interdisciplinary, bringing together psychologists, neuroscientists, clinicians, and imaging and data science engineers.
Contraintes et risques
Some MRI acquisitions may take place at the end of the day (until 6 or 7 p.m.).
Regular travel between the Sorbonne and Sainte-Anne Hospital sites will be required.
Occasional work with children and adolescents, requiring an appropriate attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
Exposure to a hospital environment, requiring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
