postdoctoral fellow within the IASI team at LATMOS:
The objective of the project is to analyze the atmospheric temperatures resulting from the IASI instrument. The work will consist of three phases, (i) a methodological exploration (ii) data analysis and (iii) writing and publication of articles and scientific communication


-Study of IASI temperatures during heat / cold waves
-Study of the ENSO phenomenon and its relation with atmospheric chemistry.
-Construction of an atlas of sudden stratospheric warming between 2008 and 2021
-Study of the relationship between temperatures with the OLR (outgoing longwave radiation)
- present the results of the work in collaborative meetings and in national and international conferences


-doctorate/PhD in atmospheric, environmental sciences or other related disciplines
- excellent knowledge of Python and AI libraries
- experience in handling large datasets
- knowledge of the Linux environment
- communication skills, written and oral, in English
- scientific curiosity, rigor and autonomy

Work Context

This project received funding from the European Research Council (ERC) under the Horizon 2020 and Innovation program of the European Union (grant agreement n ° 742909).
The project will be supervised by Sarah Safieddine and Cathy Clerbaux at LATMOS, Sorbonne University.
