Missions
We are seeking an extremely motivated engineer to integrate an ambitious multidisciplinary team aiming to characterize using pluridisciplinary, multimodal and multiscale techniques (including physical characterization: size and concentration, phenotypic, biomolecular fingerprint through Raman spectroscopy, etc.) EVs from Gram+ bacteria for anti-inflammatory therapeutic applications.
Activités
The candidate will dispose need to manipulate biological sample and will generate multimodal characterization using the instruments available on IVETh core facility. The goal will be to gather all the multimodal characteristics of EVs by adapting existing protocols and to build multimodal databank from different EV batches. In addition, we will need to identify which features are correlated with anti-inflammatory properties.
Compétences
Expertise in experimental biology, interdisciplinary skills towards analytical chemistry, physics and / or data sciences. The engineer will need to demonstrate critical thinking, organizational skills, coordination abilities, and a team spirit.
Contexte de travail
The NABI laboratory (https://nabi.u-paris-sciences.fr/) created in January 2025, launched in 2019, an expertise facility IVETh (https://iveth.u-paris.fr/), labeled as national industrial integrator biotherapy-bioproduction in 2022. NABI lab and IVETh co-coordinate with INRAE the PEPR project Bacter-EV-Booster “Multidisciplinary approach to stimulate the bioproduction and engineering of Gram+ bacteria's Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) for therapeutic applications to treat inflammation”. IVETh is the first facility entirely dedicated to the production, engineering and characterization of extracellular vesicles for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. The ambition of IVETh are to gather multidisciplinary expertises around EVs through a technological hub open to industrial and academic research. IVETh is also promoting scientific and technological trainings with a particular focus on innovation. The engineer will be integrated to the IVETh scientific team and the nanobiotherapies team of the NABI lab. The position is located in a sector covered by the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST), and therefore requires, in accordance with regulations, that the arrival of the engineer be authorized by the competent authority of the MESR.
