Missions
Contribute to the scientific research activities of the laboratory as part of a funded project. The project aims to elucidate a novel molecular mechanism of bacterium-antibiotic interaction and to characterize the bacterial response. The recruited person will collaborate with other laboratories on the project and will combine tools from molecular biology, protein and RNA biochemistry, and microbiology.
Activités
- Isolate cellular RNAs for transcriptomic analysis.
- Produce RNAs in vitro by transcription.
- Express and purify proteins.
- Implement molecular biology techniques, reverse genetics, CRISPR-Cas9, biochemistry, bioluminescence, and microbiology.
- Cultivate bacteria in a P2-level laboratory.
- Analyze and interpret results.
- Contribute to the writing of technical procedures and scientific papers
Compétences
- Interest in multidisciplinary approaches.
- Good knowledge of protein-RNA interactions, membrane proteins, and macromolecular complexes.
- Microbiology.
- Biochemistry of RNA-protein interactions.
- Biochemistry of proteins (SDS-PAGE, Affinity Chromatography, etc.).
- Proficient in English communication.
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills
Contexte de travail
The person hired will carry out his work at the Laboratory of Applied Biology and Pharmacology (LBPA). This laboratory is affiliated jointly to the CNRS and the École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay. The candidate will be required to interact with other members of the laboratory, as well as other laboratories (CNRS and CEA).
The position is based at the École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay in Gif-sur-Yvette.
