Missions

The successful candidate will conduct research on energy harvesting systems using magnetocaloric materials and on the study of thermogeneration systems using thermal materials. The candidate will be integrated into a multidisciplinary team working across materials and systems, with interactions at the regional, national, and international levels. The team has extensive experience with thermal materials and systems development.

Activities

The activities are as follows: Development and integration of caloric/multicaloric materials in a thermogenerator. - Using a test bench developed in the laboratory, characterize the operation/performance of the system. - Improve the system design. - Write a scientific article.

Skills

Prior experience in the manufacturing processes of caloric/multicaloric materials is expected in order to quickly become operational on technological projects. Behavioral skills - Ability to work in a team. Required knowledge: Good knowledge of general physics.

Work Context

The SATIE (UMR8029) is a joint research unit under the joint supervision of the CNRS, Université Paris-Saclay, ENS Paris-Saclay, CNAM, Cergy Paris Université, and Université Gustave Eiffel. This unit is primarily located at ENS Paris-Saclay, but also has offices at various sites belonging to its supervisory institutions (on the Versailles campus of Université Eiffel, in Paris at CNAM, and at the Neuville site of Cergy Paris Université). The unit's administration is located at the main ENS Paris-Saclay site in Gif-sur-Yvette. The unit conducts research in the fields of energy and information and comprises approximately 200 people, including 100 permanent staff and 100 doctoral students.

The position is located in a sector under the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST), and therefore requires, in accordance with the regulations, that your arrival is authorized by the competent authority of the MESR.
