Missions

As part of the EU Recreate project, the recruited person will be required to deploy the laser shock disassembly process on composite materials for demonstration purposes on the Hephaistos platform.

Activités

The person will be required to carry out:
a study/analysis of experimental results monitoring of the Recreate project
optimizing the performance of the laser used for the tests,
The person will participate
in the implementation of the laser shock experiment,
in the development of a test plan
in more in-depth investigations of the effects induced i
n the materials in the creation of a typology of internal delamination structuring
in the publication of one or more individual and/or collective articles on the analyses of the data collected during the project.

Compétences

A. Recent thesis in physics/chemistry/materials science with a specialization in laser shock; • solid knowledge in disassembly of composite materials, ideally with experience involving laser shocks; • previous data analysis in materials science; • fluency in English and French, both written and oral; • ability to work in a team on multidisciplinary projects
B. Candidates must have a doctorate in the field of laser shock applications and research expertise demonstrated by at least one first/co-first or second author publication related to the theme and activities of the project. Other essential criteria for this position are a good knowledge of composite materials as well as demonstrated expertise in experimentation involving laser shocks, ideally with finally, a good command of spoken and written English is required.

Contexte de travail

This work is part of the EU Recreate project and will be carried out within a multidisciplinary team at the PIMM laboratory which concerns laser shock processes, composite materials and process control using structural monitoring techniques. The person will under the supervision of lab director.

Le poste se situe dans un secteur relevant de la protection du potentiel scientifique et technique (PPST), et nécessite donc, conformément à la réglementation, que votre arrivée soit autorisée par l'autorité compétente du MESR.
