Job Description
Missions
The Language and Cognition team at the Center for Integrative Neuroscience and Cognition (INCC, https://incc-paris.fr/language-and-cognition/) at Paris Cité University is inviting applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in the field of auditory perception and speech development (ANR Global Speech project).
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Laurianne Cabrera on the effect of the language environment on auditory speech processing during early development.
Activity
The postdoctoral researcher will actively participate in experimental design, data collection and analysis, and the writing of scientific reports (articles and conferences). We will examine brain development in the first two years of life using a cross-linguistic approach and electroencephalography (EEG) and/or functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) imaging techniques.
Your Profil
Skills
Essential skills
- PhD in a relevant field (cognitive neuroscience, psychology, linguistics, psycholinguistics)
- Experience in EEG and/or fNIRS
- Programming skills (e.g., Python, Matlab)
- Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis (e.g., R)
Desirable skills:
-Specialization in language development, including research experience with infants and/or children
Your Work Environment
The postdoctoral researcher will work at the Saint-Germain-des-Prés campus of Paris Cité University, within the Language and Cognition team at the Center for Integrative Neuroscience and Cognition (INCC).
