Missions

The candidate will have to perform the design and synthesis of innovative conjugated molecules. He/she will use solution synthesis techniques.

Skills

The expected candidate will hold a PhD in Chemistry with strong skills in synthetic chemistry. He/she will have an excellent expertise in synthesis under a controlled atmosphere and in the handling of air sensitive compounds. Knowledge of spectroscopic techniques such as absorption and emission is required. Willingness to work in a team and ability to carry out independent work are also mandatory, as well as good writing skills.

Work Context

The project is part of the EU-funded Fiware4water project (see https://www.fiware4water.eu/ for more info). Work will be done at the Laboratory of Physics of Interfaces and Thin Films, Ecole polytechnique, UMR CNRS 7647 (LPICM). The research activities of the lab are oriented towards the synthesis of novel materials for electronic applications. A major activity of the lab is the development of multi-parameter sensors for water monitoring.
