Job Description
Missions
Recruitment of a postdoctoral researcher within the ANR SUSPENSIONS project, dedicated to the mathematical analysis and modeling of particle suspensions in a fluid. See https://webusers.imj-prg.fr/~amina.mecherbet/ANR-DFG-project.html
for more details on the ANR project.
Activity
The research context consists of contributing to one of the following objectives of the ANR
1. Derivation of effective models from a microscopic description (homogenization, fluid mechanics and their analysis, optimal transport and mean field limit)
2. Analysis of PDE models (fluid-kinetic theory, nonlinear and nonlocal transport equations): study of problems of existence, uniqueness and qualitative properties such as long time behavior, controllability and (in)stability of equilibria.
Your Profil
Skills
The person recruited must possess expertise in one of the themes mentioned above (homogenization, mean field limit, fluid-kinetic model analysis, (in)stability, existence theory and uniqueness for transport equations).
Your Work Environment
The recruited person will be part of the functional analysis team of the IMJ-PRG as a postdoctoral fellow and will interact with Amina Mecherbet and David Gérard-Varet within the IMJ-PRG as well as external members of the ANR.
