Job Description
Missions
The postdoctoral researcher will develop and study a redox flow battery designed for long-duration renewable energy storage.
Activity
The research activities will include:
• Designing and developing a battery, including electrode fabrication, electrolyte optimization, and analysis of electrochemical reactivity;
• Assessing the system's stability over time, including under stress conditions;
• Optimizing and controlling the system to maximize its energy efficiency.
This will primarily be experimental research, but profiles combining modeling and experimental approaches will be considered with particular interest.
Your Profil
Skills
• Proven experience in electrochemistry and/or aqueous batteries.
• Proficiency in English (written and oral).
Your Work Environment
The research will be conducted within the electrochemistry team at LCPME (Nancy). It is part of the RADICAL project, funded by the PEPR Batteries program. The project brings together several partners:
• ICR (Marseille) for the synthesis of new electrolytes and advanced in operando characterizations;
• ICGM (Montpellier) for electrochemical studies and battery testing;
• PHENIX (Paris) for simulation and digital screening of properties.
This postdoctoral position could provide an opportunity to develop a research project for CNRS permanent position competitions.
