Missions

Within the research team, the successful candidate will work on the relation between deterministic and probabilistic aspects of analytic number theory. The main objects of study will be related to numeration systems and multiplicative number theory: non-correlation of multiplicative and digital structure of integers, asymptotic estimation of shifted convolutions, estimations of values or moments of arithmetic series.

Activities

Research, publications in international journals and participation to the events related to the ANR project ArithRand.

Skills

The applicant must have obtained a PhD in mathematics before he or she is appointed to the position. He/she must be able to develop her/his research program in full autonomy while interacting with his supervisor and other members of the ANR project ArithRand.

Work Context

University research center: he/she will respect the internal rules of I2M and the normal rules of behaviour.

Constraints and risks

He/she will report on her work to the scientific committee of the ArithRand project whenever requested and within delays. He/she will be entitled to receive support for travel and living expenses in the same conditions as the other members of the project. He will take the engagement of uploading his/her publications related with the ArithRand project on the HAL website whenever these publications are submitted for publication in a scientific journal and will inform the PI.
