Missions
This researcher will contribute to the implementation and analysis of adaptive mesh refinement algorithms within C0 and C1 Finite Element calculation software for equilibrium along the discharge of a tokamak plasma.
Activités
Software development (C++). Participation in the development and application of adaptive mesh refinement methods. Writing of scientific articles and presentation of results at international conferences.
Compétences
PhD in Mathematics Experience in implementing finite elements. Proficiency in a scientific programming language (C++). Ability to work in a team and promote results.
Contexte de travail
The CASTOR team is actively participating in the EuroFusion project to develop the numerical simulation tools needed to design and improve thermonuclear fusion reactors.
Contraintes et risques
The position will be based at the Dieudonne Mathematics Laboratory in Nice, in a dynamic and multidisciplinary research environment. Regular interactions with members of the CASTOR team are expected.
