Job Description

Missions

To study the impact of genetic mutations on the morphogenesis and organization of the intestinal epithelium in mouse intestinal organoid culture models, as well as in patients with developmental intestinal disorders.

Activity

Dissection of mouse intestines.
 Preparation of mouse intestinal samples and patient biopsies for histological studies.
 Preparation and maintenance of primary cultures of intestinal organoids.
 Immunolabeling of proteins of interest.
 Confocal fluorescence microscopy analysis of fixed samples.
 Qualitative and quantitative analysis of results.
 Writing of articles.

Your Profil

Skills

Cell biology of epithelial tissues.
 Cell culture of cell lines and primary organoid cultures.
 Immunolabeling, histology, confocal fluorescence imaging.
 Image analysis (ImageJ, Python code, etc.).
 Independence, attention to detail
 Must hold a license to conduct experiments on small animals.

Your Work Environment

The IBDM, located on the Luminy Campus, comprises approximately 220 permanent staff members—including researchers, faculty members, engineers, and technicians—as well as temporary staff on fixed-term contracts, postdocs, doctoral students, and interns, spread across 22 research teams and 11 technical facilities and services. The IBDM is a joint research unit under the supervision of the CNRS and AMU, which explores the field of developmental biology and associated pathologies. The position will be based within the “Epithelial Monolayer Morphogenesis – E2M” team led by Delphine DELACOUR. As the laboratory is composed of members of various nationalities, fluency in English is essential.
