Missions
As part of a collaborative research project funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR), we are recruiting a post-doctoral student in molecular microbiology. The successful candidate will be tasked with using various global approaches (RNA-seq, Tn-Seq, proteomics) to identify the genes/proteins involved in adaptation to oxidative stress and copper in Salmonella enterica. The genes identified by these methods will then be characterised using traditional microbiology approaches (viability, expression, activity) as well as microfluidic approaches coupled with microscopy analysis.
Activités
- Molecular microbiology
- Analysis of omics data
- Study of stress responses
- Molecular biology
- Molecular regulation
- Host-pathogen interactions
Compétences
- Knowledge of microbiology and molecular biology
- Working in interaction with the members of the group involved in the project (3 people) and our partner INRAE in Tours (6 people)
- Rigour in experimentation and data analysis
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Knowledge of global approaches (omics) would be a bonus
Contexte de travail
The candidate will work at UMR 7283, the Laboratoire de Chimie Bactérienne, located on the Joseph Aiguier campus in Marseille's 9th arrondissement.
The LCB comprises 100 staff divided into 14 teams and 3 shared services.
The agent will work in a team of eight people, including a CNRS research director, an AMU professor, a CNRS researcher, three CNRS engineers and two PhD students.
