Job Description

Missions

This project aims to develop a new enantioselective synthetic strategy to access acyclic molecules bearing non-adjacent 1,3-stereocenters. The approach will rely on the activation of alkoxyamines by a chiral Lewis acid under radical conditions, enabling control of both reactivity and asymmetric induction. This methodology is expected to provide an efficient and selective route to complex molecular architectures that are difficult to access using conventional approaches.

Activity

-Organic synthesis
-Radical chemistry
-Stereoselective synthesis
-Physicochemical characterization
-Presentation of results at meetings and scientific writing/publications

Your Profil

Skills

- Expertise in organic chemistry and radical chemistry
- Previous experience in homogeneous enantioselective catalysis will be considered an asset
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
- Strong scientific rigor and organizational skills

Your Work Environment

The successful candidate will join the Institut de Chimie Radicalaire de Marseille (ICR). The ICR comprises eight research teams (around 150 members) working at the interfaces of radical chemistry, organic synthesis, simulations, materials science, and biology. The candidate will work within the CROPS team (Organic Radical Chemistry and Specialty Polymers), and the project will be part of the laboratory's research theme focused on the development of synthetic methodologies based on radical chemistry for the preparation of complex macromolecular architectures.
