Missions
The tasks involve the design and production of passive components operating at sub-THz frequencies. The technology used will be based on an additive micro-manufacturing approach relying on a localized electrochemical reaction enabling micrometer-scale 3D printing of copper parts. These components will then be observed using a scanning electron microscope and measured up to several hundred GHz. The researcher will be responsible for the design and electromagnetic modeling of the components, their production, observation and analysis, and finally their measurement on a test bench at the Xlim laboratory. This activity will be carried out with the support of manufacturing and measurement engineers and will be co-supervised by researchers from the University of Limoges.

Contexte de travail
This activity is part of the PEPR SYSTERA project (pepr-futurenetworks.fr/projet/systera) and will involve collaboration with researchers from other French laboratories (IEMN, IETR, etc.). In this context, the candidate will be required to participate in the project progress meetings and the drafting of scientific documents (progress reports, presentations) and may be required to undertake research visits to these partners and interact with them.

Contraintes et risques
The microwave components will be manufactured in the Xlim laboratory's clean room. The candidate must comply with the rules of use and safety for this room as well as those for other technical environments (microwave instrumentation room, electron microscopy, etc.) in which he/she will be required to work.
The position is in a sector covered by the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST) program, and therefore, in accordance with regulations, requires that your arrival be authorized by the competent authority at the MESR.
