The staff of UMR7194 are developing multidisciplinary and international programmes in (1) analysis of anatomical structures (external and internal) by 2D/3D imaging of human and non-human remains (cranio-dental and post-cranial) as well as analysis and modelling of the major functions within hominins and non-human primates, both present and fossil; (2) modelling and shape analysis of small anthropological, lithic, faunal, symbolic, and larger objects (e.g. modelling of archaeological sites (2) modelling and shape analysis of small-scale objects, whether anthropological, lithic, faunal, symbolic, or larger (e.g. modelling of archaeological sites, ornamental walls, burials, present and past landscapes). This work integrates the development and implementation of highly technical digital imaging tools, modelling, comparison and interpretation of forms, structured in technical platforms: the "Workstation" device of UMR 7194, and the 2D/3D MH@SU platform at the Musée de l'Homme, the AST-RX technical platform of UMS 2700 (Paris), and the Primate Movement Analysis technical platform (Rousset sur Arc). The Assistant Engineer will be involved in the research carried out within UMR 7194 on the evolution and behaviour of Man and his ancestors, whether in evolutionary and cultural anthropology, archaeology, archaeozoology or bioarchaeology.
