Missions
The recruited person will work at Institut Denis Poisson (UMR CNRS 7013) in Université d'Orléans.
He/she will work on branching processes, and may seek at developing applications to these.
Activités
- Research in Probability Theory, on branching processes,
- Collaborative work with other members of the probability team at IDP in Orléans and Tours
- Participation to seminars and conferences
- Publication of scientific articles
Compétences
- Ability to do mathematical research
- Extensive knowledge in Probability Theory, familiar with main technics in branching processes
- Able to communicate efficiently on ongoing work
Contexte de travail
IDP is a mathematics and theoretical physics laboratory, located in Tours and in Orléans.
It gathers around 90 academics, as well as abouth 30 non-permanent researchers.
Its main subjects are Theoretical Physics, PDEs, Modelization, Simulations, Probability Theory, Algebra, Combinatorics, Ergodic Theory, Statistics, Analysis and Geometry.
The head of the laboratory is M. Cédric Lecouvey (Univ. Tours), and the deputy director is M. Luc Hillairet (Univ. Orléans).
The recruited person will be part of the Probability-Statistics team (team SPACE).
