Missions
Perovskite-type oxide thin films, whose properties are often governed by strong electronic correlations, constitute a particularly interesting class of materials. Their electronic characteristics can be tuned by various stimuli, such as substrate strain, chemical composition, temperature, or magnetic field. As part of the FAMIX project, the goal is to explore the insertion of anions into perovskite or related oxide thin films to analyze the evolution of their structure and quantum states. This approach aims to design new families of mixed-anion materials, synthesized through chemical reactions and developed as thin films using anionic engineering.
Activités
The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for the synthesis of thin films by laser ablation and ex-situ doping. He/she will also analyze the structure of the synthesized materials and study their physical properties. The researcher will be able to rely on the expertise and know-how of recognized researchers and technical staff.
Compétences
- Background in materials chemistry, solid-state chemistry and physics.
- Knowledge in thin film preparation by pulsed laser ablation
- Structural characterizations (X-ray, TEM) and microstructural characterizations (SEM)
-Measurement of transport properties (electrical resistivity, carrier concentration) and magnetic properties between 5 K and 300 K-Autonomy in project management
- Autonomy in research project management
- Ability to interpret experimental data
- Skills: Critical thinking/scientific curiosity, Good communication skills, Availability, Strong listening and interpersonal skills
Contexte de travail
The laboratory consists of around one hundred members. The CRISMAT laboratory is a joint research unit of CNRS, ENSICAEN, and the University of Caen, Normandy. The postdoctoral research will be carried out within the Thin Films and Interfaces team of the CRISMAT laboratory, under the supervision of Wilfrid Prellier (CNRS Research Director).
Le poste se situe dans un secteur relevant de la protection du potentiel scientifique et technique (PPST), et nécessite donc, conformément à la réglementation, que votre arrivée soit autorisée par l'autorité compétente du MESR.
