Missions
Determine the protocols for reading and writing synaptic weights in a crossbar matrix of synapses based on Mott insulators and participate in neural network inference tests.
Activités
- Participate in the supervision of the fabrication of the Mott insulator-based synapse crossbar matrix and an integrated perceptron.
- Contribute to the development of the interconnection and control electronics of the synapse network in conjunction with the electronics engineer recruited for the project.
- Perform electrical tests on the synapse crossbar matrices, particularly for reading and writing synaptic weights, and on an integrated perceptron.
- Develop a network of synapses and neurons based on Mott insulators
- Participate in inference tests on the neural network for letter and number recognition tasks
- Actively participate in the supervision of doctoral students and interns on this topic
Compétences
- Specialist in electrical measurements of microelectronic devices
- Good knowledge of the insulator-metal transition in Mott insulators and the associated physics
- In-depth knowledge of nanofabrication techniques for microelectronics
- Knowledge of synapse networks and neurocomputing
- Good knowledge of electronics
- Proficiency in Python and/or SPICE
- Ability to transmit knowledge (written/oral) and provide supervision
- Sense of confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal skills, autonomy, strong adaptability, and a team player
Contexte de travail
IMN is a joint research unit of 200 people. The recruited researcher (male/female) will join the PMN (Physics of Materials and Nanostructures) team.
