Job Description

Missions

Reporting to the Scientific Coordinator of the European IBAIA project, the Project Manager will support the project close-out phase by ensuring the operational, administrative, and financial coordination of the consortium. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with the European Commission's requirements, the provisions of the Grant Agreement, and the Consortium Agreement.

Acting as the interface between academic, industrial, and institutional partners, the Project Manager will facilitate communication and contribute to the successful completion of the consortium's commitments. The role includes supporting the Scientific Coordinator in monitoring the final project activities, collecting and consolidating partners' contributions, preparing the final reporting, and coordinating interactions with administrative and financial departments.

The Project Manager will also contribute to organizing the consortium's closing meetings, monitoring the final deliverables, updating the project documentation, and ensuring the project's administrative closure in accordance with Horizon Europe rules.

Activity

The Project Manager will support the Scientific Coordinator during the final phase of the European IBAIA project. The position involves coordinating the remaining activities required to complete the project and prepare the final reporting to the European Commission.

Main responsibilities include:

Monitor the partners' final contributions and track the progress of the remaining activities.
Coordinate the collection, review, and consolidation of the final project deliverables.
Support the preparation of the project's final technical and administrative report.
Monitor financial information in collaboration with project partners and the relevant administrative departments.
Organize the consortium's closing meetings, prepare the required presentation materials, and follow up on agreed actions.
Update and structure the project's final documentation, including deliverables, meeting minutes, and contractual documents.
Facilitate communication between the Scientific Coordinator, consortium partners, and stakeholders until the project's official closure.

Your Profil

Skills

Excellent written and spoken English in an international professional environment.
Experience in, or sound knowledge of, the management and coordination of collaborative projects, preferably European projects (Horizon Europe).
Good understanding of the administrative, financial, and contractual management of projects funded by the European Commission.
Proven ability to organize, plan, and monitor activities, deadlines, and deliverables in a multi-partner environment.
Ability to coordinate contributions from academic, industrial, and institutional partners.
Strong drafting skills for preparing reports, meeting minutes, and project monitoring documents.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, autonomy, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
Knowledge of the European research environment and Horizon Europe rules would be an asset.

Your Work Environment

The position is part of the IBAIA Horizon Europe project (December 2022 – 30 November 2026), coordinated by the CNRS (Regional Delegation 17, Rennes, France).
The Project Manager will work closely with the Scientific Coordinator, consortium partners, administrative and financial departments, and the relevant European institutions.

Constraints and risks

One 3-day business trip to Scotland.
Frequent videoconferences.
