Missions
In the general field of surface modification by electrochemistry, understanding these processes and their applications, the postdoctoral researcher will be tasked with developing a new approach/methodology based on the principle of electron photoinjection (EPI), in order to prepare functional surfaces from simple chemical precursors.
Activités
As part of an ANR project aimed at better understanding radical grafting reactions in order to guide their reactivity:
- Develop original electrochemical/photoelectrochemical methodologies.
- Conduct experimental work in electrochemistry.
- Perform analyses (Electrochemistry, AFM, XPS, Raman, etc.).
- Prepare a scientific and technical bibliography, as well as scientific reports and research publications.
Compétences
The candidate must hold a PhD in electrochemistry. He/she must have a strong background in electrochemistry. Extensive experience in electrochemical methodology, mechanistic studies of electrochemical processes, development of equipment and experimental setups in electrochemistry, and surface analysis (Raman, XPS, AFM, etc.) will be an asset. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced researcher who is committed to their project. Furthermore, the candidate must possess excellent communication skills and team spirit.
Contexte de travail
The research will take place within the MaCSE Team at the Institute of Chemical Sciences of Rennes (ISCR), located on the Beaulieu campus in Rennes, starting in March 2026. The position falls within the area of scientific and technical potential protection (PPST) and therefore requires, in accordance with regulations, that the candidate's arrival be authorized by the relevant authority within the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESR).
Le poste se situe dans un secteur relevant de la protection du potentiel scientifique et technique (PPST), et nécessite donc, conformément à la réglementation, que votre arrivée soit autorisée par l'autorité compétente du MESR.
Contraintes et risques
Work in chemistry/electrochemistry and photoelectrochemistry with the usual constraints (work under a ventilated fume hood, personal protective equipments, handling of UV light sources, etc.). Risks of handling CMR products.
