Job Description
Missions
A one-year post-doc position is open at the Institut de Mathématiques de Bourgogne starting from September 1st, 2026
Activity
The hired researcher will join the research group "Geometry, Algebra, Dynamics and Topology" to lead their research in collaboration with the other members of the team. No teaching is required
Your Profil
Skills
Applicants must have obtained a Ph.D. or equivalent degree before the start of the contract. Priority will be given to researchers working in Geometric Group Theory. Nevertheless other related fields represented in the research group "Geometry, Algebra, Dynamics and Topology" are also eligible.

Your Work Environment
The Institut de Mathématique de Bourgogne (IMB) is the mathematics research laboratory of the Université Bourgogne Europe. Comprising around a hundred members, the institute is organized into three research teams:
- Geometry, Algebra, Dynamics, and Topology (GADT),
- Mathematical Physics (MP),
- Statistics, Probabilities, Optimization, and Control (SPOC).
The scientific themes addressed cover a broad spectrum of current mathematical research, ranging from the most theoretical to the most applied aspects, through numerous collaborations with international research organizations and industrial partners.
