Missions

Support for sampling strategies for oceanographic campaigns as part of SWOT AdAC and scientific promotion of this activity

Activités

- Operational launch of several digital tools developed as part of the SWOT AdAC project. The aim of these tools is to provide analyses of the
ocean dynamics of the campaign area based on satellite data. This activity involves regular contact with the research teams organising these campaigns.
- Maintenance and development of numerical tools to integrate new SWOT altimetry measurements. This activity also requires regular updating of the Jupyter Notebook tutorials, associated with the digital tools, available on Github.
- Post-campaign analyses of ocean dynamics based on satellite measurements and oceanographic campaign measurements (in collaboration with the PIs).
- Supporting the comparison of in situ and satellite data by developing data processing and comparison algorithms. To date, the data from one campaign in particular (BioSWOT-Med) has been used to develop these tools, with the aim of then offering these processing/comparison methodologies to all the campaigns in the consortium.
- Publication of results and promotion of work.
