Job Description

Missions

As part of the ANR PULPITOMIC project, the postdoctoral researcher recruited will be responsible for carrying out experiments aimed at identifying, using broad-spectrum (-omics) methods, the proteolytic mechanisms involved in dental pulp inflammation, particularly in various 2D/3D models. The postdoctoral researcher will produce bioactive protein fragments and characterise their roles in dental pulp repair.
He/she will collect and analyse data from the experiments, particularly from -omics analyses. He/she will be responsible for reporting on the experiments and will participate in data management amongst the various project partners. He/she will also be required to pass on their professional knowledge by supervising students.

Activity

He/She will be responsible for preparing samples for -omics analyses from various 2D/3D cell models. He/She will produce and characterise peptides derived from the extracellular matrix. He/She will analyse the results and contribute to their application. He/she will be required to supervise students and assist with project management in collaboration with the various partners. He/she will take the initiative and adapt protocols in order to characterise the structure-function relationship of protein fragments in relation to extracellular matrix replacement.

Your Profil

Skills

Expertise in therapeutic engineering and protein biochemistry is essential. Experience in -omics methods, as well as in protein production and characterisation (FPLC, WB, etc.), is required. Skills in the analysis of omics data and the use of 3D models would be desirable. The successful postdoctoral researcher must demonstrate rigour, excellent organisational skills and strong reporting abilities.

Your Work Environment

This job is based at the Laboratory of Tissue Biology and Therapeutic Engineering (LBTI – UMR CNRS 5305, Lyon 1 University), situated in the heart of the dynamic Lyon-Gerland Biodistrict. The successful postdoctoral researcher will contribute to the development of a collaborative ANR project, working directly with the project leader, a member of the LBTI's ROAD (Osteoarticular and Dental Research) team, UMR 1333 Oral Health (Université Paris Cité, Université Sorbonne Paris Nord, Inserm), and the Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital.
