Missions
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellowship at the mathematics institute of
Toulouse (https://www.math.univ-toulouse.fr/fr/). The fellowship will be funded by the
ERC project MUSEUM (2025-2030) which is interested in the asymptotic analysis of
unconventional integro-differential equations, and related stochastic processes, from
evolutionary biology.
Activities
Performing research in the thematics of the ERC project MUSEUM.
Writing scientific articles.
Making oral communications at national and international meetings.
Skills
The position is open to candidates who have demonstrated excellence and productivity in research, especially in the field of partial differential equations. Prior experience in one or several of the following topics will be highly valued: mathematical modeling within the life sciences, parabolic or kinetic integro-differential equations, Hamilton-Jacobi equations (theoretical or numerical aspects).
Work Context
The recruited person will be located at the Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse,
Université Toulouse III Paul Sabatier. He/she will be encouraged to interact and
collaborate with various research groups in France, particularly in Montpellier, Paris,
Nancy and Lille. The selected candidate will be provided with funds to cover travel
expenses associated with the postdoctoral project. The start date is flexible. No teaching duties. A contract extension for a third year may be considered.

Candidates are required to submit a CV outlining their academic background, including
Master's, PhD, and, if applicable, Postdoctoral studies, along with a list of publications.
Additionally, candidates must provide a brief description (maximum 3-4 pages) of their
research experience, as well as a motivation letter (maximum one page) detailing their
professional goals, scientific interests, and the names and contact details of two
references who can provide letters of recommendation. The selected candidate must hold a PhD at the time of appointment.
