Development of model suncare formulations incorporating mineral and/or organic UV filters and bio-based additives. In vitro tests will be carried out to measure the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) and assess formulation performance.

Activités

Formulation of direct and/or inverse emulsions, accompanied by morphological characterization by optical microscopy, granulometry, rheology, etc. Measurement of the absorbance of thin sunscreen films applied to rough PMMA plates, using UV spectroscopy.

Compétences

We're looking for a motivated IE with an interest in the physical chemistry of soft matter and materials science, good organizational skills and a certain scientific curiosity. Knowledge of emulsion formulation and characterization techniques, as well as UV spectroscopy, would be an asset.

Contexte de travail

The Centre de Recherche Paul Pascal (CRPP) is a joint unit of the CNRS and the University of Bordeaux, with a staff of between 130 and 150. It comprises six research teams and several shared services. The UMR's activities focus on three closely related scientific areas: soft matter, functional materials and interfaces with biology. The project will be carried out within the CIA (Colloids, Interfaces and Assemblies) team. All the equipment and techniques available at CRPP will be made available for the project.
